Living Roots (Roots Agriculture Co., Ltd.) builds regenerative crop inputs that pay for themselves in the field. Our flagship product, PhotoBoost, is a foliar nutrition system that restores the mineral cofactors plants need for photosynthesis, delivering 15 to 35% yield gains in rice, corn, and specialty crops across India and Thailand. We're now scaling from a handful of proven pilots to 50+ trial sites, building the data and the agronomic playbooks that turn a great product into a repeatable system for farmers.
The role
We're hiring a Field Agronomist to be our hands and eyes on the ground: someone who can travel across Thailand to set up trial plots, run them rigorously, and design regenerative systems around PhotoBoost, then help us extend that approach to the full product line as we grow. You'll own the field side of our science, from the first conversation with a grower to the harvest data that proves what works. You'll be based at our main location and travel out to trial sites during peak trial seasons, working directly with farmers, cooperatives, and our science and sales teams to make each pilot count.

What you'll do
- Design and set up trial plots: lay out replicated, statistically sound field trials across crops and regions, with clear controls, protocols, and success metrics.
- Run trials end to end: manage application timing, sampling, and measurement, keeping data clean and consistent so every result feeds our formulation and sales decisions.
- Design regenerative systems: build agronomic programs around PhotoBoost and, over time, our wider product line, tailored to local soils, crops, and farmer practice.
- Partner with farmers: win the trust of growers and cooperatives, train them on protocols, and translate field results into ROI they can see and act on.
- Travel to the field: spend roughly 30 to 40% of your working time on-site at trial locations across Thailand during peak trial seasons, and work from our main location the rest of the year. We provide a mileage allowance for field travel.
- Close the loop: turn trial data into clear reports and recommendations that sharpen the next formulation, the next protocol, and the next sale.
Requirements
- A degree in agronomy, soil science, plant science, or a related field, and roughly 5+ years of hands-on agronomic experience, ideally in Thai farming systems.
- Real field-trial experience: you know how to design a trial, control for variables, and defend your data.
- Working knowledge of regenerative agriculture, soil health, and plant nutrition, plus genuine curiosity to keep learning.
- Comfort traveling to rural trial sites, roughly 30 to 40% of your time during peak seasons, and working from our main location the rest of the year.
- Strong relationship skills: you can earn a skeptical farmer's trust and explain the science plainly.
- Fluent Thai and working English, with comfort using data to keep trials rigorous, primarily Excel and our internal data-collection and analysis tools.
- Comfortable working with laptops, computers, and field tech, including drones. We make heavy use of AI to understand crop behavior and patterns through our own internal tools, and we'll train you on them, so a genuine openness to new technology matters.
- A driver's license and willingness to travel to rural sites (we provide a mileage allowance).

- Experience with foliar nutrition, biostimulants, or specialty crop inputs.
- A network among Thai farmers, cooperatives, mills, or agri-retailers.
- Experience scaling agronomy programs across multiple regions or countries.
- Hands-on experience with agricultural drones or AI-driven crop analysis tools.
