About Living Roots

Living Roots is building a new model for regenerative agriculture in Asia. We combine biological inputs, field trials, and AI-driven agronomy tools to help farmers reduce synthetic fertilizer use, improve soil health, and increase crop productivity. Our work spans biological fertilizers and biostimulants, field trials with farmers and agribusinesses, AI tools that help farmers make better agronomic decisions, and partnerships across Southeast Asia to scale regenerative agriculture.

The role

We are now looking for our Head of Growth & Partnerships to help turn our innovation into large-scale adoption. This role works directly with the CEO and leadership team to expand our commercial footprint and build strategic partnerships that bring Living Roots' products and technology to farmers across the region. It sits at the intersection of strategy, partnerships, and business development: you'll identify high-impact growth opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and help design the go-to-market strategy that scales our solutions across Southeast Asia.

Growth strategy

Growth strategy

  • Develop and execute Living Roots' go-to-market strategy.
  • Identify priority customer segments and market opportunities.
  • Design scalable commercial models for product adoption.

Strategic partnerships

  • Build and manage partnerships with agribusinesses, seed companies, fertilizer distributors, farmer cooperatives, and sustainability / climate programs.
  • Structure partnerships that accelerate adoption of Living Roots products.

Market expansion

  • Identify opportunities for expansion across Southeast Asia.
  • Develop market-entry strategies for new regions.
  • Build relationships with distributors and commercial partners.

Commercialization of innovation

  • Work closely with the science and product teams to convert field trials into commercial pilots, pilot programs into long-term partnerships, and scientific validation into compelling market offerings.

Revenue & deal execution

  • Lead high-impact commercial discussions.
  • Structure partnership agreements and pilots.
  • Support the closing of major B2B deals.

What success looks like (first 12 months)

  • Launch multiple strategic partnerships.
  • Convert product trials into commercial deployments.
  • Expand our presence with key agribusiness partners.
  • Develop scalable distribution or partnership models.
  • Contribute significantly to company revenue growth.

Requirements

  • 5 to 10+ years experience in agriculture, agtech, climate tech, or related sectors.
  • Experience building partnerships or distribution networks.
  • Strong understanding of agriculture or farming systems.
  • Comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment.
  • A strategic thinker who can also execute deals.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with farmers, cooperatives, or agribusinesses.
  • Background in agronomy or agricultural inputs.
  • Experience in Southeast Asia agricultural markets.
  • Experience scaling products from pilot to commercial deployment.
